Situated in rolling countryside just outside Milngavie (pronounced "Millguy" and frequently misspelled as Mulguy, Mullguy, Millguy, or Milguy), in a stunning, unspoilt and little known location close to the Antonine Wall buffer zone, a World Heritage Site, where it passes through a valley between Bearsden and Milngavie and less than 10 miles north of Glasgow, this charming individually designed cottage was completed in late 2007 and offers the ultimate in luxury accommodation.

With easy access to the vibrant city of Glasgow; Loch Lomond, approx 20 miles, for boating, fishing, walking, cycling or golf; walking nearby on the West Highland Way, Campsie Fells and in the Carron Valley Forest, it is ideally situated for those seeking a little culture or wanting to escape into the great outdoors. Stirling, 25 miles, Edinburgh, 50 miles, both with many attractions. Shops and pubs less than 2 miles. Station less than 2 miles.

For leisure time, as well as boating on Loch Lomond, there's dinghy sailing at nearby Bardowie Loch, plenty of golf courses close by, sports centres, tennis clubs, walking and fishing.  Bearsden Ski Club with its dry slope is also close.

There are regular trains from Milngavie to Glasgow  - trains every 15 minutes, journey time 23 minutes - and a regular bus service. 

The SECC and Armadillo are close to the River Clyde in Glasgow with the Science Centre across the river.

Glasgow's many attractions also include Kelvingrove Museum, The Burrell Collection, the Hunterian Museum, the Italian Centre and Princes Square for shopping, the Merchant City, George Square, the Gallery of Modern Art, many excellent restaurants and the lively West End.

Sailing on Bardowie Loch

It is thought that the loch was created after the Romans quarried the area for stone to build the near by Antonine wall. It is currently used for dinghy sailing by the Clyde Crusing Club.
